*Unfortunately we don’t accept HMO, DMO, or Medicare plans.
Frequently asked questions
-
Dental insurance is essentially a yearly allowance for your dental care. Your insurance sets a maximum amount they’ll pay each year, with different levels of coverage depending on how treatment is categorized.
Anything that is not covered by insurance is the patient’s financial responsibility.
-
Most plans typically cover all types of dental care such as:
Exams and cleanings (typically 2x/year) at 100%,
Basic procedures (fillings, crowns, etc.) at 80%,
Major procedures (oral surgery and orthodontics) at 50%*Please note that your coverage is plan-specific and may vary from the “typical” information provided above.
-
You can always check with your insurance company directly to find out what they are and how much they cover.
Our insurance team can also check for you and give you an exact break down that is relevant to your treatment details.
-
Being in-network means that we’re a “Preferred Provider Organization” (or PPO) that has a direct contract with your insurance and must use their negotiated prices.
Being out-of-network simply means that we do not have a direct contract with your insurance. But that does not mean we don’t take your insurance!
When out-of-network, we apply your plans coverage percentages to our office fee instead of the negotiated insurance fee. -
In most cases, out of network benefits still cover preventative services, such as exams and cleanings, at 100%.
-
Insurance plans often lag behind dental innovations. Recent advancements like dental implants, white fillings, and bone regeneration techniques may not be covered by your plan despite being recommended by dental professionals. If your plan does not cover a procedure, you are responsible for the full payment.
